Following the sale of Golden Manor’s 40-year-old buildings in June 2008, our Long Range Planning Committee is working to determine how best to provide – and to fund – care for San Antonio's Jewish elderly in the future. We are looking closely at three care options:

1. Constructing a new resident facility on the acreage that is adjacent to the Jewish Campus at NW Military and Wurzbach Road, which could include independent and assisted living, as well as skilled care

2. Providing home-based support services to Jewish seniors wherever they reside, whether in their own homes or in other retirement facilities throughout the community

3. Providing a combination of a resident facility and home-based care

Throughout the planning process, we will seek input and feedback from San Antonio’s entire Jewish community.
